I know, it’s been forever. I’m not very good at this blogging thing. I promise I will get better. Quick update:

Job reference in last post, didn’t happen. But that’s a good thing.

2 other job interviews followed, one of which was successful and I was hired– I start Monday

I have been rocking my internship with the Peoria Chiefs and will miss my coworkers when I move back to St. Louis

That’s the most important stuff. I will come back soon and update more. There’s a lot going on but it’s great. Stay tuned…

All Growed Up… Sort of

I can proudly say I have experienced a full 40 hour work week AND and 16 hour work day. I also no longer need 8 hours to feel well rested, 6 is plenty, yet I can function pretty well with just 4. I buy my own groceries and cook my own dinner, I even changed the oil in my truck. And the most exciting thing is that I had an interview for a big kid job. *here’s hoping I was cool enough to get a callback* Still have not gone out to the bars with the co-workers yet, but I suppose that will happen one of these days. Otherwise, I’m feeling pretty grown up.

Then again, as I write this post I’m snuggled up in bed watching cartoons and eating cotton candy. Where ever I am on the grown up scale, my next goal is to secure a permanent big kid job and hopefully help out my family financially. Who knows, maybe by the next post I will have succeeded. Stay tuned

So a lot has happened since the last post:

I graduated from college. (whoa)
I drove to New Orleans and visited family to start a much-needed vacation.
I went on a 5-day cruise to Mexico, continuing the much-needed vacation.
Gained at least 10 lbs and became 3 shades darker.
Visited my old track coach from high school whom I haven’t seen in I-don’t-know-how-long.
Got asked the question “So what are you doing now/What are your plans for the future?” 8,236 times.
Answered above question 8,236 times.
Realized that I am now a college graduate and am done with school for the moment.

Right now I feel good. Exhausted. But good. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

My gap and gown has been laying on my futon in original packaging until about 20 minutes. I took it out, looked at it, put it on a hanger, got confused about how to attach the collar, threw that aside, and smiled. To make this moment even more surreal I received a text asking for directions to the show— that is, my senior graphic design show. Wow. When did I become a big girl?

So it’s about 1:30 in the morning and I’m still awake after a very long 10 hour work day. I have star wars music playing in my head and I’m picking at my website. Someone tell me to go to bed.
